When DHL were looking to improve efficiency and productivity of their permanent and temporary workforce, they turned to Aspire, Achieve, Advance to deliver the NVQ programme they required. Ian Pinfold, DHL Warehouse Manager, was tasked with implementing the NVQ pilot programme of 50 permanent and temporary staff, and if successful, the remaining workforce, Ian has nothing but good things to say about the quality and service provided by Aspire, Achieve, Advance. Mr Pinfold explains: “We have had a number of different NVQ training providers on site over the past few years, none of which provided my workforce with the skills and underpinning Knowledge that they need in this fast moving environment, Aspire, Achieve, Advance have delivered this, I feel confident that DHL/Jaguar, and the DHL workforce will benefit from this NVQ programme”. Tom Clark, Warehouse Supervisor commented: “I was pleasantly surprised when the NVQ programme started, I was expecting the Assessors to take my staff away from their jobs to do the NVQ, this didn’t happen, the whole of the NVQ was done on the job”. Over 100 DHL employees have achieved an NVQ level 2 in Warehousing and Storage in the Jaguar plant. |
