Work Ready Programme
All of the Apprentices that join one of our national 3aaa Academies will undertake the ‘3aaa Work Ready Programme’. This programme will give you the best opportunity of securing a job and with that job, the opportunity of an Apprenticeship.
The 3aaa Work Ready Programme lasts for 6 weeks and has been designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence along with initial technical skills that employers have told us that they are looking for when they are recruiting people onto their Apprenticeship programmes. For the budding entrepreneurs you’ll also find out about the basics of setting up a business.
Things you will learn on the 3aaa Work Ready Programme include:
- Preparing for employment – helping develop skills in job seeking, application preparation and interview skills
- Succeeding at work – developing the skills needed to sustain employment and make progress at work
- Basic skills for English, Maths and ICT
- Introduction to your chosen career path supported by learning the basic technical skills
- Enterprise – focusing on developing the wider business skills employers look for in potential employees, including business basis, business plans, an introduction to finance, sales and marketing.
During the 3aaa Work Ready Programme, we will be giving you the opportunity to attend employer interviews and we will also have employers coming into the Academy to meet you.
By completing the 3aaa Work Ready Programme we believe that you will be as ready as possible to secure employment in your chosen career path and progress onto your Apprenticeship journey.
The 3aaa Work Ready Programme currently runs 4 times a year and allows progression onto an Apprenticeship at anytime throughout the year as shown in the diagram below.
Fees
The 3aaa Work Ready Programme is free of charge. The programme includes lots of valuable work related activities and the opportunity to meet employers.
