With such a passion for computing, there was no question for James Prendergast that a career in IT was his future ambition. From his first interview with Luke Culling, Chelmsford’s Apprentice Intake, it was apparent that his drive and enthusiasm was going to make him an excellent candidate.
Luke had nothing but good words to say “An articulate, friendly and very mature young man with a real focus about him. Having gone through the process of screening James for the next stage of the journey, the focus then came down to getting James the right placement to suit his skill set and interest. That process was, if totally honest an easy one.”
James Prendergast, 18, did not struggle in finding the perfect employer. With his first interview being an immediate success, James began his role at BuzzBox, a telecoms company located in Chelmsford. Having established an excellent relationship with his employer, James has become an integral member of the team, with his friendly demeanour and mature attitude making him a true asset.
Scott Worland, IT Trainer at 3aaa Chelmsford said “James’ trainers have identified him as the model Apprentice, always keen to learn and grow while at the same time being a pleasure to teach, “As each session went by James was like a sponge, with this his technical knowledge grew and grew. This became apparent in the work he produced for his technical certificate which was exceptional. James has been a pleasure to teach, working well when doing group activities and always contributing to classroom discussions.”
