STOKE SUCCESS – HIGH ACCLAIM FOR ACADEMY GRAND OPENING
3aaa Stoke officially opened their doors this week, inviting young people, parents and employers to come and meet the team and to find out more about the Apprenticeship opportunities that they offer.
Prior to the Grand Opening, Stoke held a video and digital marketing workshop event on Monday 29th which was organised in partnership with one of Stoke’s employers, Reels in Motion. The event was led by Reels producer, Matt Hubbard, who spoke of his experiences in media, while at the same time educating Apprentices in how they can further their skills in media production and digital marketing. Apprentices from Stoke, Derby, Peterborough and Leicester attended the workshop and provided glowing feedback.
The grand opening itself took place on Tuesday 1st March, and ran from 8am until 7:30pm. Over the course of the day a number of Apprentice Insight sessions and presentations took place, which gave attendees a real understanding of Apprenticeships and where they can lead. In the Apprenticeship taster session, a number of 3aaa Apprenticeship Ambassadors spoke of their time at 3aaa and how it has provided them with unlimited opportunities. Ashleigh Porter Exley, winner of BBC’s Junior Apprentice and 3aaa Ambassador, delivered an inspiring and motivational presentation which focused on her experiences as an Apprentice and how it has helped her reach her true ambitions.
Stoke Mayor, Councillor Jean Bowers, was also in attendance and was blown away by all the great work the team were doing to help local young people find their dream careers. This support from such a significant representative in Stoke is a great boost for the team and will increase brand awareness in the area. With over 100% of attendees stating that they did gain something from attending the event, feedback could not be better.
The team at Stoke have all dedicated a great deal of time over the past few weeks to ensure this event was as great as it could possibly be. Vicky Walker, Academy Manager, could not be more proud of how committed her team were to making this a success, “This really was a team effort, and I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and efforts in organising this event. Everyone has really rallied over these past weeks, and the incredible feedback we’ve received after the event is a testament to their efforts.”
