commitment and nurturing
3aaa Apprenticeships forge strong relationships with local businesses in all of the regions where we work. We particularly focus on the Power of Sport and the message of commitment and nurturing that sport delivers.
We firmly believe in the ‘Power of Sport’ and the beneficial effects it has on inspiring young people, helping them to kick start the career of their dreams. Many young people use their sporting heroes and memories as a source of inspiration and influence as we help them take the first steps into training and real life industry.
We also use the ‘Power of Sport’ to help engage with other local businesses throughout the regions in which we work. The ‘Power of Sport’ is an important vehicle in bringing both people and businesses together in a number of different ways.
Below you can see all of the strong partnerships that we have with sporting organisations across the country:
Derby County Football Club
3aaa Apprenticeships have enjoyed a successful and fruitful partnership with Derby County since the start of the 2013/14 season. After initially sponsoring the Gordon Guthrie (North West corner) stand in 2013, we are now the club’s training wear sponsor which sees our logo appear on Derby’s first-team and management staff day-to-day training wear.
Our ongoing partnership with Derby County Football Club is further positive evidence of two businesses sharing a very similar set of values. Derby County are renowned for having a strong emphasis on developing their own local youth to play for the first team. They place a huge importance on the work done within the club’s Academy and this has resulted in several local young people such as Will Hughes, Jamie Hanson and previously, Tom Huddlestone, making it into the first team.
Derby County Community Trust
Following on from presenting the Gordon Guthrie Stand at the Pride Park Stadium and sponsoring the first-team squad’s training wear, we formed a relationship with the Derby County Community Trust as a presenting partner in an exciting link-up.
As a presenting partner, we have our branding placed on the kit of the Community Trust’s workforce as well as in their offices and the classroom space located at the Pride Park Stadium.
Our partnership enables the Community Trust to create wider opportunities for young people in Derbyshire utilising the brand of the club to improve people’s lives through participation in sport.
Birmingham City Football Club
Norwich City FC
We joined forces with Norwich City Football Club as we continue to use the Power of Sport to help change the lives of young people and engage with the local communities in which we work.
Norwich City Football Club, who have recently been promoted to the Barclays Premier League, share a similar philosophy to 3aaa both on and off the pitch. On the pitch, the club is renowned for its outstanding youth set-up, which has recently culminated in the Under-18 team winning the Youth Cup in 2013 and has seen the emergence of several promising young stars, such as twin brothers Jacob and Josh Murphy.
Off the pitch, the club is passionate about its work with the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation as they help over 20,000 people every year achieve their goals through sport, supporting some of the most disadvantaged, disabled and talented people across Norfolk.
In May 2014, we formed a partnership with the then newly promoted, Rotherham United Football Club.
This partnership saw us become the Millers’ 'Platinum Partner', with our brand appearing on the back of the Rotherham United away shirt. The club has also taken on 3aaa Apprentices and offered them the life changing opportunity of working at a professional football club within IT and Digital Marketing roles.
Derbyshire County FA
Our partnership with the Derbyshire County Football Association ensures they can continue their work in the administration, regulation and development of the game whilst delivering The FA National Game Strategy. The Derbyshire County FA aspires to be a smart organisation that offers and develops football in Derbyshire through a flexible, modern and relevant approach whilst ensuring that engagement of the local community is at its highest.
Forming this partnership enhances the game of Football in Derbyshire and ensures that Derbyshire County FA can continue to support their volunteers and work with young people in the county. Derbyshire County FA have over 1,800 affiliated teams in the county and over 500 registered referees reaching out to over 20,000 volunteers.
Leicester Tigers Rugby Club
In a bid to widen our Power of Sport campaign beyond the football industry, 3aaa Apprenticeships partnered with Leicester Tigers Football Club.
This partnership increases visibility of 3aaa Apprenticeships both in and around Leicester and nationally through the club’s exposure to a wide range of demographics. Leicester Tigers became the first rugby club in England to reap the benefits of recruiting 3aaa Apprentices to support and innovate their creative and administrative departments.
Derbyshire County Cricket Club
In March 2014, we agreed an extensive partnership with Derbyshire County Cricket Club which saw us become the club’s first ever stadium naming rights partner. The six-figure deal was the largest commercial partnership in the history of the Club and saw the ground renamed as The 3aaa County Ground as well as 3aaa Apprenticeships becoming the club’s NatWest T20 Blast shirt sponsor.
The continued partnership between 3aaa Apprenticeships and Derbyshire County Cricket Club enables both local and national economic growth through tourism, sport and entertainment. This is a key focus for both the City and the Midlands Engine Strategy. This year promises to be hugely exciting and successful for Derbyshire County Cricket Club, bringing international audiences to Derby.
“3aaa Apprenticeships have played a pivotal part in providing the club with talented Finance, IT and Digital Marketing Apprentices over the last three years. The 3aaa Apprentices have been invaluable to the club, both for building the commercial business and supporting our growth as an organisation. The individuals involved have had a tremendous learning experience in what is a fast-moving business environment.”
Ryan Ducket, Commercial Director of Derbyshire County Cricket Club
