3aaa Apprenticeship
Wednesday 14th February 2018
With little time remaining until National Apprenticeship Week 2018 begins, now’s the perfect chance to get yourself involved.
With the Apprenticeship industry ever-changing, National Apprenticeship Week is important in that it helps educate those that may be looking into Apprenticeships in terms of hiring or applying. The Government runs National Apprenticeship Week to celebrate the success of Apprenticeships whilst trying to encourage more people to choose an Apprenticeship as a pathway for their future career.
When the Apprenticeship Levy was introduced last April, it meant that all UK employers with a wage bill of over £3 million would have to pay 0.5% of their payroll bill to HMRC.
Six months on from the introduction of the Levy, we talked about the positive impacts that had come with it, including the increased focus on in-work training opportunities across a range of different sectors and industries.
Levy paying businesses are embracing the new standards as things continue to become more and more relevant to their business in terms of programmes that are available. The introduction of the Levy helped publicise the idea that Apprenticeships are in fact an alternative route to traditional education.
The National Apprenticeship Week campaign presents individuals, employers and the wider community with the chance to understand more about Apprenticeships and their role within a modern, working world.
Events will be held nationwide from 5th – 9th March covering Apprenticeships, how they work and how you can get involved. The campaign provides the opportunity to learn what 3aaa Apprenticeships can offer and how Apprenticeships can work for both learners and employers.
We will be holding both employer and apprentice focused events throughout National Apprenticeship Week 2018 at all of our academies:

On hand will be employers that currently employ Apprentices through 3aaa so you can hear about their experiences with 3aaa and how an Apprentice has helped their business grow.
