Giant cricket stumps now installed on Pentagon Island – Derby

A giant set of cricket stumps have now been installed at the gateway to the city of Derby on the Pentagon Roundabout.

This iconic landmark, aimed at boosting Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s bid for the city to host the 2017 Women’s World Cup, has been funded by 100 local businesses including 3aaa who have each pledged £500 to become part of the #WEREBACKINGTHEBID campaign.

The stumps, bails and ball, which greet motorists driving into the city from the eastbound A52, were installed on Friday night. 3aaa are delighted to support this bid as we continue to use the Power of Sport to help inspire local people in the areas in which we work.
