CAMBRIDGE OFFER FREE BUS OPPORTUNITIES TO APPRENTICES IN NEED
The offer, which aims to help new Apprentices in their first few steps into their future career, provides starters with a week of free transport and then a detailed plan of the cheapest bus routes to help them through the rest of their Apprenticeship.
With many of our Cambridge Apprentices not yet being able to drive, and many not having parents who can provide them with transport back and fore to work, this offer was welcomed with open arms. Although Apprentices are offered reduced train fares, with the use of an Apprenticeship NUS card, a lot of our Cambridge Apprentices are only able to travel via bus from rural areas. It is generosity like this that can make the life of an Apprentice that little bit easier at the beginning of their journey.
Harry Baird, Academy Manager for Cambridge, was incredibly please to receive such a generous offer, “This really is such a nice opportunity for our Apprentices to get stress free travel for their first week and some helpful advice to make their mornings that little bit easier. The support we receive from the local area that helps our Apprentices is just fantastic, and we can’t thank them enough.”
