3aaa Apprenticeships’s New Apprenticeship Model Approved By Training Council

Di McEvoy-Robinson and Peter Marples – Joint Owners of 3aaa Apprenticeships are delighted to announce that 3aaa USA continues to pioneer new ways of working. The first ever new model for offering Apprenticeships in the USA was approved for 3aaa Apprenticeships on November 15th in Maryland USA. Under the name of our American activity in partnership with The Children’s Guild – TranZed Apprenticeships Services, we are thrilled to have another reason to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week in America and it’s only Wednesday! Our model was approved unanimously by a State Panel.

Thank you to the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council members and the Maryland Department of Labour, Licensing & Regulation for their support. We are incredibly excited to be working together to bring real employment and training opportunities to the people of Baltimore.

Di McEvoy-Robinson commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to be at the forefront of Apprenticeships in America and Paul Champion our President for the USA has worked tirelessly with our partners at The Children’s Guild to achieve this approval. We hope that this initial centre in Baltimore will be the first of many across the USA. With the official opening on Thursday 17th November steered by our own 3aaa Apprenticeships President Paul Champion, we hope it will be as memorable as the elections last week of a new President for the country!”

Paul Champion added: “I am delighted that today we have managed to take this big leap forward. Having the first non-transitional apprenticeships standards recognised by Maryland Apprenticeship Council is a big step in our journey to develop our business in America. It is more special that we had our standards approved during National Apprenticeship week in USA which is also the same week as our official launch.”

3aaa USA and TranZed are delivering Apprenticeships that are outside of the traditional model for apprenticeships in America, so now having the ability to offer young people IT Professional, Digital & Social Media and Cyber Security as new routes for Apprentice occupations is a big, bold and exciting move by all involved.

Di McEvoy-Robinson and Peter Marples said: “This has been a big team effort and I need to thank everyone on both sides of the pond. Our journey continues.”
