The only private training provider to be chosen by ofsted to share best practice

Ofsted have chosen 3aaa to provide our best practices as an Ofsted Grade 1 provider. In an exclusive interview, Ofsted’s Anita Pyrkotsch-Jones and 3aaa’s Di McEvoy-Robinson discussed 3aaa’s best practice in delivering Information, advice and guidance to their Apprentices. All three are elements which have proven to be strengths across the board for 3aaa and have led to us being awarded Ofsted Grade 1 in all areas on first inspection.

The full interview can be found via Ofsted’s YouTube channel and touches upon all aspects of the Apprenticeship journey, from attracting applicants, to providing them with the right information and guidance in their search for an Apprenticeship. We also ensure that they are given the right support throughout the entirety of their Apprenticeship.

The interview begins with Di describing the exciting initial advice and guidance process, “We have an array of people on a local level who are engaging with local people who are interested in pursuing an Apprenticeship.” This local presence means we are more accessible and approachable to those young people who are considering their next big career move. Di also goes on to describe what 3aaa looks for in a viable candidate. Not only do we look at what qualifications they have, but we also consider their personalities, their dreams, their motivations and ambitions to ensure that we match them with the right employer and the right Apprenticeship for them. This initial interview process means we can thoroughly get to know our Applicants and provide them with a catered service.

Before we even send them to potential employer we spend time with applicants on a one on one basis to ensure that they have our full support in the run up to interview. We get them ready for interview through employability skills and we like to give them lots of practice on that. It is support like this that can contribute to an applicant’s confidence and may ultimately lead to them getting that dream Apprenticeship.

From describing the initial stages of the Apprenticeship journey, Di then goes on to discuss the latter stages such as the observation and assessment which goes on throughout the entirety of an Apprenticeship. With the help of this continuous feedback, Apprentices are able to grow and develop throughout all stages of their Apprenticeship and this should ultimately result in successful completion of the course and hopefully progression onto a Level 4 qualification. 3aaa’s 90% success rate is testament to how our best practices can result in outstanding results and limitless support for all young people who consider a 3aaa Apprenticeship.
