After getting the chance to interview one of 3aaa’s high-quality candidates, Synectics chose to introduce Aaron Brice into their Product Team as ‘Product Apprentice,’ taking part in our Level 3 Infrastructure Technician programme. It is the Product Team’s responsibility to look after, and develop, existing and new products for the security solutions that they provide including recording, display, and control solutions – making sure that products are fully tested and ready for release.
At the start, I was not well versed in networking and the technical aspects. I have progressed well in 12 months, it’s been very helpful in developing the skills which are demanded in my role and advancing my technical knowledge.
After applying for an Apprenticeship through the Government website, 3aaa got in contact with Aaron to bring him into their high-quality talent pool and introduce him to their programmes. After starting his Infrastructure Technician programme with 3aaa in July 2017, Aaron is on-track for completion in August 2018, and he is looking to progress onto his Level 4 programme.
Josh Ward, Aaron’s manager, discusses how Apprenticeships have positively impacted the team:
Aaron has been a great addition to the team. Over his short time with us he has learned and developed his skillset around our product range, his customer service is fantastic, and he’s had a great start to a promising career.
Progressing from the Product Team onto the Development Support Team, Aaron has become an integral member of the team and is now positioned in a much stronger role, exceeding expectations, and enabling a future career within IT for him.
