Business Admin Trainer and Assessor

Location: Reading, RG1 4AR

As a Trainer and Assessor you will have the main responsibility for the delivery of high quality assessments in an agreed time scale to nationally recognised standards. You will also have responsibility for delivering training and revision sessions as required through the delivery model of the Apprenticeship. You will be responsible for monitoring Learner and Apprentice learning and progress throughout the program in partnership with the Trainer.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities
People
·To deliver work-based sessions to Apprentices.
·To own plan and manage individual learning and assessment plans for your case load.
·To own and manage any Apprentice progress issues with the Academy Manager
·To mentor Apprentices to achieve and learn professional skills required for the work place
·To ensure all apprentice assessments are completed in a timely manner and feedback to the individuals
·To engage with the program lead to ensure support resources for Learners are relevant and up to date.
·To ensure your own skill sets are kept up to date and relevant
·To manage the embedding of Numeracy and Literacy throughout the program.

Quality
·To monitor and manage the progress of the Apprentices.
·To ensure the necessary assessment of learners and reporting of any issues to the Academy Manager
·To maintain appropriate tracking systems and procedures relating to quality, compliance, management and assessment.
·To ensure your compliance with business systems and procedures
·To carry out Apprentice reviews and ownership of Include learning and assessment plans.
·To attend all meetings and workshops as necessary to carry out your role effectively

Contracts
·To maintain 90% retention and completion of Apprentices
·To ensure relevant paper work is used correctly
·To ensure that the whole assessment process is followed and that work is uploaded to E-Track in a timely manner.
·To ensure that all the compliance and process requirements are met in full.
·Remain up to date with any changes with the qualification and assessment processes.

Commercial
·To carry out regular on-site reviews of materials and delivery methods with the programme lead and report findings.
·Actively promote the value and raise the profile of the Apprenticeship programme and continued professional development with learners, apprentice’s management and partners.

·To identify opportunities to enhance the work with our key stakeholders
·To keep CPD detail live and current, reporting all CPD activity to the academy manager.

Qualifications and Knowledge
Essential
·Assessor qualification.
·Real-world sector work experience
·To hold (or pass) an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable
·Experience of delivering to 16-18 year olds
·PTLLS or CTLLS qualified, or willing to work towards
·Knowledge of the FE sector and funded programs
