During the 18 month Apprenticeship, your Network Engineer will support your business by identifying and understanding the end user of your software and supporting development to ensure your software is operating effectively and supporting your business decisions.

  • Design networks and review and apply security measures.
  • Install and configure your network components, including switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Understand and implement principles of your networking, protocols and associated technologies.

  • Fully understand the IT laws and regulations that effect your business.

Industry Recognised Qualification

On completion of the qualification, your Apprentice will be awarded a Level 4 Apprenticeship in Network Engineering. In additon to this, they can also take additional professional vendor qualifications. Examples of these are: Network+, Server +, Security +. These additional qualifications will be agreed with yourselves, your local academy and learning mentor.

Training And Mentoring

Over the course of your employee’s Apprenticeship, you will have monthly contact with the assessor, either through face-to-face visits or telephone contact. The assessor will guide your Apprentice through the type of tasks that will allow them to demonstrate competence and the underpinning knowledge required to achieve the standard. Your Apprentice’s assessor will help them to build an electronic portfolio of evidence to demonstrate the skills and knowledge that they have gained.
