Our Level 3 Software Development Technician Standard is designed to equip your Apprentice with the knowledge and skills to develop as a Software Developer within your business, supporting productivity through the use of software. They will learn to; develop an App, test software systems and build websites, allowing them to meet the needs of the business. This Apprenticeship Standard will enable growth and introduce brand new skills to your workforce.
During the 15 month Apprenticeship, your Software Development Technician Apprentice will support your business by identifying and understanding the end user of your software and supporting development to ensure your software is operating effectively and supporting your business decisions.

Industry Recognised Qualification
Upon completion of the course, your Software Development Technician Apprentice will gain eligibility to apply to the register of IT Technicians, confirming SFIA Level 3 Professional Competence. This will then bring ongoing industry-backed skills and knowledge to your employee allowing further growth and development.
Your Software Development Technician will be awarded BCS accredited Knowledge Modules: Software Development Context and Methodologies, Programming.
Training And Mentoring
This Apprenticeship will last 15 months, with your Software Development Technician coming into your local academy during the initial stages of the programme. Your local academy will work with you to establish the timetable for your Software Development Technician's academy sessions.
After completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship your Apprentice will then have the opportunity to progress onto Software Developer Level 4
