Your local 3aaa Academy is continually working with enthusiastic and motivated young people who are keen to get a head start in their IT career. Our Apprentices receive bespoke IT training which has been designed and tailored to meet the continually evolving IT industry.

The 3aaa Technology Apprenticeship programme delivers all of the skills that a new employee requires to ensure that they are successful within this constantly changing, fast moving sector. We also offer the flexibility within the programme to ensure that you can mould your Apprentices in exactly the way that you choose.

Course Name, Details and Length:
Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
A maximum of 2 years for Level 3 progression onto Level 4. A minimum of 12 months if it decided that the Apprentice will only do Level 3
Training will be delivered by our industry experienced team, with the Apprentice attending their local Academy, through independent study and ongoing training in the work place
During the initial Level 3 12 month programme, your Apprentice will initially attend the Academy every other week for a total of up to 10 training weeks. The remaining time is spent in the work place, putting the skills that they are learning into place within a real life industry.
Your Apprentice will work towards:
Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
Level 2 Functional Skills in ICT, Maths or English (Where applicable)
Your Apprentice will learn to:
Strip down and repair computers
Change computer components
Install, configure and update a range of operating systems
Troubleshoot and diagnose faults on PC’s and simple networks
Install and configure peer to peer networks
Troubleshoot, evaluate and test a range of software applications
Test and evaluate computer software and code
Build and test websites

Your Apprentice will initially complete a 12 month Level 3 programme with the expectation that they will have developed the required capability and be undertaking a challenging role that will allow them to progress onto a 12 month Level 4 IT Apprenticeship programme.

The focus of the Apprenticeship is on self-directed research, study and assignment completion. It is a 12 month programme where your Apprentice will attend the Training Academy on day release for up to a maximum of 20 Academy training days. Their remaining time is spent with you in the work place.

Higher IT Apprentices can expect to follow one of a number of career paths with this Apprenticeship programme in job roles such as;

The diploma units are delivered and assessed in the workplace and the HNC units are delivered during day release to the 3aaa Training Academy.

Your dedicated Recruitment Executive will be on hand to discuss any questions you have regarding the Level 4 Apprenticeship programme. An Assessor will regularly visit you and your Apprentice in the workplace to carry out onsite reviews and assessments. This ensures that your Apprentice is on track with their work and that you as their employer are fully informed of their progress.
