3aaa Apprenticeships specialise in the delivery of Business Administration Apprenticeships. This course has been designed to develop a practiced set of skills when carrying out business operations including the introduction of developing and managing administrative systems, processes and functions.

It develops the young person’s understanding of the principles which underpin working in a business environment, covering the broader, cross-organisational processes that an administrator will need to understand.

Course Name, Details and Length:
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business & Administration
A maximum of 2 years for Level 3 progression onto Level 4. A minimum of 12 months if it decided that the Apprentice will only do Level 3.
Your Apprentice will be required to attend the 3aaa Training Academy for an intensive 3 day block study at the start of training. This is followed by attendance at the Academy on day release every month, for the next 10 months of the Apprenticeship.
Your Apprentice will work towards:
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business & Administration
Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Business & Administration
Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths and ICT (where applicable)
Your Apprentice will complete the following units:
Principles of business
Principles of administration
Principles of business communication and information
How to communicate in a business environment
Customer service skills such as supporting with reception duties
How to manage personal and professional development
Your Apprentice will then choose from the following range of units:
How to contribute to the involvement of business performance
How to deliver a presentation
How to manage an office facility
How to monitor information systems
How to participate in a project effectively
How to manage individuals’ development within the workplace
Principles of leadership and management
How to chair and lead meetings

Once your Apprentice has completed their Level 3 qualification, they will then have a great opportunity to further develop their skills and progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship.


  • Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Business & Professional Administration
  • Further or Higher Education programmes to undertake business related or other qualifications, including Foundation Degrees in areas such as Business, Business Management and Business Administration.
  • A range of business and management undergraduate programmes
  • A range of business professional qualifications at level 4 and above

Your dedicated Recruitment Executive will be on hand to discuss any questions you have regarding the Level 4 Apprenticeship programme. An Assessor will regularly visit you and your Apprentice in the workplace to carry out onsite reviews and assessments. This ensures that your Apprentice is on track with their work and that you as their employer are fully informed of their progress.
