Our Level 3 Software Development Technician Apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to develop as a Software Developer. It will teach you a wide range of skills, including developing websites and mobile apps. This programme has been designed by industry leading employers to ensure 3aaa Apprentices receive the most relevant Technology training for the industry.

Industry Recognised Qualification

On completion of your Apprenticeship, you will be awarded BCS accredited Knowledge Modules covering: Software Development Context and Methodologies, Programming.

You will also be eligible to apply to the register of IT Technicians confirming SFIA Level 3 Professional Competence.

Training And Mentoring

Your Apprenticeship will last 15 months and will involve you coming into your local academy during the initial stages of the programme. Your local academy will then work with you and your employer to establish the timetables for your sessions.

You must submit a portfolio of evidence comprising of workplace tasks, which will be supported by evidence gathered throughout your Apprenticeship. Your local academy will explain further.

Entry Requirements

To be accepted into the 3aaa Apprenticeships' applicant pool, you must hold 5 GCSEs (graded A* to C or 9 to 5) or equivalent.

This must include English and Maths and you must demonstrate a proven passion for technology.

Progress Your Apprenticeship

After completion of your Level 3 Apprenticeship you can then progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship as a Software Developer which will further your knowledge and skills. Upon completion, you will receive BCS Level 4 in Software Development.
