We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable young people who want to start an exciting career in Accountancy. Our Apprentices work towards the internationally recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification and receive MAAT (Member of Association of Accounting Technicians) status.

How will my training be delivered?
Training will be delivered at your local Academy and in your workplace. In the first month you will attend the Academy twice a week for an 8 hour intensive Bookkeeping study programme. You will then be expected to attend the training Academy on day release every week for the first 10 months of the Apprenticeship. Attendance is full time in the Academy and in your workplace.

Course Length:

Minimum of 12 months – progressing onto Level 4 at our discretion. Overall it will be a 2 year programme.

- Fully funded

Entry Requirements
- To be aged 16 – 23 years old*

- Ideally have 5 GCSE’s – Grade C and above.

- Preferably English, Maths and ICT GCSE – Minimum of Grade C or equivalent.

- 3 Years EU residency

What skills will you gain...

The AAT Programme

At the start of the programme you will complete the Level 2 Bookkeeping introduction course. This will ensure that you have the relevant skills and prepare you for the start of your main AAT Level 3 Certificate in Accountancy when you start your Apprenticeship.

AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy

As well as working with your employer and learning valuable industry skills and knowledge, you will also work towards the internationally recognised AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accountancy. You will attend your Academy on a weekly day release with your remaining time being spent in the work place.

Within the Level 3 qualification you will complete the following 6 main modules:

- Accounts preparation

- Prepare final accounts for sole traders and partnerships

- Cost and revenues

- Professional ethics

- Indirect tax

- Spreadsheets software

level 4 progression

don't stop at level 3

Upon completion of your Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, you will then move onto our Advanced Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship.

Once you have completed your Level 3 qualification you will then have a great opportunity to further develop your skills and progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship.

Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting and Business

This is a 12-15 month programme, which involves you attending the Academy on a weekly day release basis with the remaining time being spent with your employer.

As part of the Higher Apprenticeship you will learn both Accounting knowledge and professional competence, developing everything from essential administration skills through to financial team leader skills, complex management skills and specialist learning areas.

As part of the Higher Apprenticeship, you will study the AAT L4 Diploma in Accountancy and L4 Diploma in Business Administration.

You will complete the following 4 mandatory modules:
- Financial statements

- Budgeting

- Financial performance

- Internal control and accountancy systems

Both of our AAT Accountancy programmes offer you an excellent head start in your Accountancy careers.

With 3aaa you will complete your Level 3 and 4 Apprenticeships within our Academy and the workplace and be fully qualified for industry in just 2 years. With the alternative route of Sixth Form and University, the same qualification will take 5 years to complete.
